The Brief:
A major bitumen spillage had affected 23 separate sites across Devon and Cornwall, creating slippery road conditions and safety hazards. And to make things extra festive? It all happened in the run-up to Christmas.

Remove all traces of bitumen, keep traffic flowing, and complete the job without disrupting the holidays.

 

Our Approach:
PSC Solutions deployed a multi-team strategy with a tight, reactive schedule. We collaborated closely with local councils, stakeholders, and residents, ensuring each site was cleaned quickly, safely, and in full compliance with environmental standards.

We also developed and implemented custom traffic management plans for each site minimising disruption and keeping both holiday-goers and road crews safe. This included night work, flexible shifts, and close coordination with public services.
